The most famous of these is the Flash, also known as the Fastest Man Alive. This suggests that Wally may have already been facing the Godspeed menace in a way only he could. While discussing their upbringing in private, Bart West-Allen spoke about how he had been taught how to run and how to meditate by his father and "Uncle Wally", but that it was Jay Garrick whom he referred to as Uncle Jay who was the only one of his teachers he felt ever really understood him.

In another scene where the two were training, Nora made reference to Bart's ability to shape his lightning into throwing stars; an ability that sounds remarkably similar to Wally West's talent for reshaping his lightning into various forms, like a lotus blossom. It remains to be seen if Wally West might make an appearance in the finale of The Flash season 7. It is heartwarming to know, however, that while he may be apart from his family for now, he will someday rejoin them.

It's also gratifying to know that he's still running in the not too distance future of the Arrowverse, even if he never does take up Barry Allen's mantle. He gained superspeed powers in The Flash season 3 and adopted the moniker of Kid Flash , running side-by-side with Barry Allen in several adventures as a key member of Team Flash.

Interestingly, in the Flashpoint timeline, it's Wally who becomes the Flash. Though Wally left The Flash in season 4 to find inner peace, he didn't exactly disappear. In fact, Kid Flash played significant roles in several major events before taking a prolonged leave of absence from the Arrowverse.

After Wally left Team Flash in season 4, he spent some time in Blue Valley where he found time for both "s elf-reflection and a battle with a starfish from outer space ". Wally returned to Central City for his sister Iris' wedding to Barry and to help the superheroes fight off an invasion of Nazis in the Crisis on Earth-X crossover. Weeks later, Wally was unable to attend his father's Christmas party because he was traveling in Cambodia. While Team Flash battled Clifford DeVoe aka The Thinker , Wally remained in Asia and continued his journey of self-discovery, growing more centered and zen in the process.
